They are known to be inexpensive, and they have always been pleasant on the phone and prompt to arrive and pick up the deceased. So when my Dad passed away, I didn't hesitate to call them. We arrived at the office in Carmichael and were greeted warmly. The woman who helped us was very compassionate and very informative. A cremation usually costs about $800. They gave us a very nice discount since I am a hospice nurse. In my Dads case, he wanted his cremains to be buried at a Military Cemetery in Dixon, so we will pick up the ashes and transport them ourselves. They give you a basic metal container. You can chose something fancy if you want, but she did not try to sell us any upgrades.\u00a0\u00a0There are tissues on the table and a \"therapy\" Chihuahua in the office. A few days after his death we went to Bridges and met up with a nice young lady and she had us fill out paper work, and we looked at their large selection of urns, necklaces, paper weights, etc made using ashes.\r\nThe turn around time took awhile, but the process involved his doctors also. When his ashes were in their urn and ready to be picked up, we came in (they made an appt to meet with us on a weekend date). We had ordered 2 necklaces with ashes inside, then we had a third necklace that was ordered off Etsy. She was more than happy to put some ashes in the necklace we didn't purchase from them, which I appreciated.\u00a0 I hope to not ever need their services again, but if I did, I'd use them.
